About Brøndby
Brøndby is a suburb about 13 km from Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. Brøndby has 39,500 citizens in 21 km2 surrounded by wonderful nature such as the Western Rampart Vestvolden, Køge Bugt Strandpark at the seaside, and the beautiful wood Brøndbyskoven.
The Social Democratic Party is in the majority in the municipal counsil and Maja Højgaard has been mayor since June 1, 2024. The municipal council has 19 members – see the composition of the municipal council here: Kommunalbestyrelsen.
